I recently communicated with Jackie Robinson about her excellent book, Quilting in the Style of Frank Lloyd Wright. Robinson lives in Montana and is a well-known educator and quilter, specializing in geometric forms. She's written a number of books on quilting and currently lives in Montana.
It turns out that using FLW stained-glass designs in quilting and weaving has become quite a popular tradition, but a non-quilter like myself would not have known this. A number of excellent quilters have reproduced some of Wright's stained-glass designs [Betty Schneider, who also does some absolutely amazing beadwork using the Wright window designs, including this 30,000-bead piece; Joyce Hockman; Ellen Errico Schon; Jutta Farringer; Shireen Hattan].
